It’s easy to get caught up in the dance we call life. Its slow exotic rhythms, the sway of explosions of emotions at the rise of the sun. The enticing smells of a new day begins with coffee, bacon, eggs, and pancakes claiming the air. You rise in beat with the rhythms to start another workday. The heavy traffic, and shuffling of feet, transportation, buses, trains, and planes take their flight, keeping in beat with the heavy demands of “Got to get there on time.” The sound of life taking on a new day, from yesterday’s demands of unanswered quest, to new ones faced on the horizon. However, we expected this. We challenged our lives to be different, to be a standout in the crowd. To again challenge ourselves with tomorrows hopes and dreams, slow dancing with yesterday’s threats to finish what we started. Vision of success, testing the waters rising above our expectations of ourselves. However, negative vibes try to muscle its way in, with a beat that out of control, entangling us with psychotic rhythms that becomes to much for our minds, intoxicated, confuse, too much to take in at one time.
Later, waking up in a place with a hangover, head hurts, feel like throwing up or retracing my steps, pressing pause, or you would say “What just happened?” Enlighten me. Rude awakening on the horizon, feel as though I’m living someone else’s dream. At sunrise behind tired eyes we beckon for the dance again. Slow dancing cheek to cheek mesmerized by the way she walks, how her winds stroke my face with a gentle gesture. As soft kisses of rain drops on my face, to show the colors of the raze of the sunrise. Is that rain? Or is Nature showing me her truth, and its tears that are actually falling down my cheek, hmm? rude awakening take over me like a cool chill. I stood and smile as if I understood, and the name changed from life, “A slow dance, to "Nature at a subtle glance.”
